Summer Fun For The Entire Family at Sandy Lane Resort
Sandy Lane, the renowned Barbadian luxury resort, is offering special children’s amenities this summer to keep the entire family happy. In addition, the hotel is offering exceptional savings for family holidays from May to October 2007. Families visiting during the school summer holidays can also opt to take part in the first ever Barbados Sports Camp, an opportunity for children on the island to be coached by iconic international sports stars.
Barbados Sports Camp
Launching this summer, the Barbados Sports Camp will become an annual event during the school summer holidays. Available free of charge for children ages 9 to 15, the camp will run from July 16th to August 27th, 2007, from 11am to 4pm each weekday and will include professional coaching in cricket, rugby and soccer by international sports stars. The cricket coaches will be selected from the many Barbadian Test stars the island has produced, and the rugby and soccer coaches will be star players who have performed at the very highest level in the UK. There will be three UK rugby stars and three UK soccer stars. The names of the coaches will be confirmed shortly. The coaching is not expected to be strenuous for either the star coaches or the children, but will provide an opportunity for the kids to learn new skills and have some fun alongside their sporting heroes.

An optional dinner supplement is available at $100 per adult and $50 per child. All rates are subject to a 10% service charge. Ten night stays are available and the offer is also applicable for Ocean and Luxury Ocean rooms.
Sandy Lane’s fully supervised Treehouse Club is available free of charge for children aged between 3 to 12 years and includes a play house with lots of fun toys and games. The Den Teen Centre, for 13 to 16 year olds, provides a Juke Box, table tennis, pool table and Game Boys. Both are housed next to the swimming pool and children are free to come and go as they like, giving parents plenty of opportunity to relax and unwind by the pool. The Treehouse Club serves an early children’s supper at 6pm and a new baby menu is also available for the youngest members of the family. Should parents wish to enjoy dinner alone, a fully qualified nanny service is available from $40 per hour.
Kevin Cadogan, Sandy Lane’s Children’s Sports Coach, is on hand to help children aged 11 and over to improve their sporting skills. Kevin coaches a variety of sports including soccer, cricket, basketball, beach volleyball, American Football in the pool and even kayaking.
