Last Summer the Treehouse Club had a whole new look!!

We have recently had our walls re-painted and can you guess what colour they are now? Some are green and some are purple! We also have lots of new things.

We have green chairs for you to sit on when doing your art and craft, and some really cool desks which we can put our computers on! The Den also has a whole new look, there are some really cool paintings on the walls, some really groovy chairs to sit on and most of all, the walls are also green!!

So be sure to tell mum and dad that you would like to come back really soon, to see our new look!!

I bet that you didn’t know this about Coconuts!!

Did you think that the liquid in a coconut is called coconut milk? Well guess what? It is not!!

It is called coconut water, which is very tasty when served cold. There are two types of coconuts; there is the green coconut and the brown or dried coconut.

We get coconut water from green coconuts!!

After removing the husk from the brown or dried coconuts, the coconut can be broken into little pieces and the fruit may be used for cooking. It is grated and mixed with water to make coconut milk. Some people use the coconut milk to make some of the tastiest chicken around!!

So, when you visit us next time, maybe you can have a taste of the coconut water and see why we in Barbados love it so much.

Did you know that...

Harrison’s Cave is one of Barbados’ most famous attractions?

Harrison’s Cave was closed for renovations, but it was opened for a short time in April 2007 just so that visitors coming to Barbados during Cricket World Cup could visit the cave!!

Cricket is the national sport of Barbados and the West Indies. Congrats to the Australian Team on winning The Cricket World Cup 2007.
